Tip Tuesday – Boiling Easter Eggs

eggs

It’s that time of year! Time to decorate eggs, but before we can decorate them we have to boil them. This year try adding a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to your boiling water. After Easter is over, you will find that peeling your eggs for sandwiches and snacks is much easier than normal. Try this year round for easy peeling!

Easy Easter Eggs

Do you have too many left over eggs after Easter? Sometimes you just get sick of egg salad sandwiches. If you have some non-egg lovers or too many boiled eggs, try these cool substitutes. You can dye them or color them the same as you would your normal boiled eggs.

  • 1 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 cup catalina dressing

Instructions:

  • Wash and cut chicken into quarters.
  • place chicken in crockpot
  • cover chicken with seasoning, preserves, and dressing.
  • Cook in crock pot on low for 3-4 hours.
  • Serve with rice and veggies
