Easy Shepard’s Pie recipe:
If you need a quick and easy dinner or you are looking for another dish to freeze, this is a great recipe to have. Here is what you’ll need:
1 lb. ground beef
1 can tomato soup
1 can corn (can also use peas, green beans etc. use your leftovers)
1 box instant mashed potatoes (can also make from scratch or use leftovers)
¾ up grated cheese (give or take)
Season to taste. (Salt, pepper, garlic salt)
- Brown ground beef and drain fat
- Add can of tomato soup, corn and seasonings
- In separate pot, make mashed potatoes according to recipe on box
- Pour meat mixture into round casserole dish
- Top with mashed potatoes
- Cover with cheese
- Bake at 350 for 15 mins.
If freezing, just cover with foil and freeze. Move casserole dish to fridge the day of your dinner. Bake at 375 for 50-60 mins. Or until center is hot.
