Thrifty Thursdays – Repurposed Rod

While visiting some friends of ours we came across this cute (and cheap) curtain rod. Simply use the U shaped bracket that comes with most rods or use the brackets from an old rod your replacing. In fact, if you already have hardware up, leave it it.  Just remove the old rod and go stick hunting! Take a measurement of your window and head out on a hike with the family. Once you have found the stick of your dreams, wipe it down and give it a quick spray with disinfectant. You can also spray a light layer of bug spray just in case. If you do use pesticides, leave outside or in the garage for a day or two before hanging.

Have fun stick hunting!
